Former Afghan Minister of Finance Dr. Ashraf Ghani spoke today at a conversation about the future of Afghanistan hosted the Atlantic Council's South Asia Center. The Atlantic Council also unveiled its Afghanistan Report by Dr. Ghani, A Ten-Year Framework for Afghanistan: Executing the Obama Plan and Beyond.
Just weeks after the Obama administration’s release of its new strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Dr. Ghani presented a medium-term framework for Afghanistan that outlined the steps which must be taken by Afghanistan and the international community to ensure that they make good on its second chance for success. The discussion session was moderated by Frederick Kempe, President and CEO of the Atlantic Council.
